Top 5 Sites to Play Fantasy Football for Money
Top 5 Sites to Play Fantasy Football for Money

It’s that time of year again, with the NFL regular season less than a month away from kickoff we thought we’d highlight some of our favorite places to play fantasy football for money online to keep you busy week to week, as if you didn’t already have enough to do and spend money on!  Here are our picks for the top 5 sites to play fantasy football for money online you have to try!

FanDuel is what most people think of when looking to play fantasy football for money, as they’re the world’s largest site specifically for daily and weekly leagues.  They have the largest player base and run hundreds of fantasy football for money leagues weekly.  They give away up to 5 million dollars in come contests, and you can play for as little as $1 all the way up to $50,000 if you’ve got that kind of bankroll.  Outside of traditional NFL football, they also offer College Football (my favorite) along with NBA, NHL, MLB and CBB leagues.  You can play head to head in 1 on 1 scenarios, up to tournaments with thousands of players all competing for various prizes with different payouts and numbers of winners.  The format is all salary cap, where each player is assigned a dollar value and you have to keep your team within a certain budget, so all players are available to draft every week!  Definitely worth checking out, they have a free money bonus going on right now so check it out!

DraftKings is very similar to FanDuel, with even larger prize pools and is growing fast.  They also feature MMA, PGA and Soccer leagues and seem to have more up to date player news which helps when determining your lineups, especially for College Football and the lesser known sports or ones with larger player bases.  I prefer DraftKings over FanDuel, but it really is a personal preference and you can’t really go wrong with either.

FantasyDraft is on the verge of challenging the “Big 2” fantasy football money leagues with top of the line daily fantasy football software, a solid referral program, and the best payout zone of all the fantasy football online sites we’ve tried.  It’s lacking a bit in player news and not quite as sleek as the other two, but very good all around.  It only features NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL and PGA leagues

FantasyScore.com is another great online fantasy football money league website backed by sports powerhouses RTSports, USA Today and Sports Illustrated. They offer games for the NFL, MLB, NBA and NHL also feature a traditional Draft style option along with the Salary Cap options available in the other 3 above which is unique.  Overall a great site worth checking out.

There are tons of traditional fantasy football options out there for you and your friends to host online or offline drafts and compete for cash or prizes, but few have cash options built in like Yahoo.  The Yahoo “Pro Leagues” as they call them, feature entries of $20, $50, $100 & $250 levels that pay out the winner 5x your entry.  A good option for those looking to compete for cash online versus random players using the traditional draft style format for a full season versus the other weekly leagues featured above.

Hopefully that gives you some good options to find a league you like or multiple leagues you can try out!  Also be sure and sign up for our FlagSpin Week 1 Challenge where we’ll be hosting a$5 buy in salary cap league for flag football players to compete against each other for $450 in prizes!  It’ll only be open to the first 100 entries so sign up today!
